| The Common Ground Community Breakfast will reopen next Saturday, August 28th and we are looking for volunteers to serve as hosts, cooks, kitchen crew, drink servers, food servers, and recycling/trash managers. For various reasons the community breakfasts on the last Saturday of the month are me (clay.jh.lambert@gmail.com) if you'd like to help. There are 3 shifts available: All day, 1st shift, and 2nd shifts. The All-day and 1st shift volunteers should arrive between 7:05 - 8:15. The first shift will end at 10:15. The 2nd shift should arrive between 9:45 and 10:00 and will end at 11:45 along with the All-day volunteers. Individual jobs will be assigned as you arrive on Saturday morning but please don't hesitate to email me if you have a particular job or shift in mind. Also, this year's Community Potluck Picnic at the Market Street church will be on September 12th at 12:15pm, immediately after UCH's service. We could really use volunteers to help set up, work the buffet line, and clean up after. Last year, the Back to School BBQ was a big hit. This year, we hope to make it even better by supplying hot dogs along with our own covered dishes to share with each other. More information will be coming shortly but let me know if you'd like to help. Lastly, please look at your calendar and let me know if you're available to volunteer for community breakfasts on September 11, September 25, October 9, October 30, and November 13th.
