 The Brickyard Pavilion at Pine Grove Furnace State Park

How about a UU Jamboree? The Brickyard Pavilion at Pine Grove Furnace State Park has been reserved for Sunday, August 22nd, 2010, ALL DAY. The purpose of the Free Event is to provide an informal picnic setting for UU’s from different churches in the region to meet, make new friends and play. Bring your own lunch, but if you would like bring something for others to try, it’s up to you (just make sure you have a list of ingredients).

Our Pavilion is close to the lake where you can swim and the park’s clean, modern, restrooms are nearby. Some UU’s plan on bringing a soccer ball, a croquet set, and some Frisbees, but please feel free to bring a football or some other outdoor game for people to play with.

The park also hosts hiking and biking trails if you are interested, and there is talk that one UU will be bringing a kayak for some brave souls to try!

The Park is off route 233, a few miles South West of Boiling Springs.

Route 233 merges with Pine Grove Road and becomes 233/Centerville Road as it runs SW towards the Michaux State Forest.

Once you enter, look for Quarry Road, which will take you to the Brickyard Trail. The Pavilion is at the entrance, near Fuller Lake.
