Lay Led GroupsMS Walk-a-thon
This Lay Led Ministry has one activity each year - to participate in the annual national MS Walk held each Spring, with the local walk being held in Camp Hill. The UCH MS Walk-a-thon Team has been walking since 2000, and has placed in the top 5 organizations five times to date. The team grows in number each year, and consists of church members and friends, ranging from those who are brand new to those of many years duration, and in age from 1 to 70 something, and even includes dogs (including Snickers, who has walked faithfully every year). The total donations raised by the team increases each year, and the money goes to support research efforts into treatments and an eventual cure into a disease that has touched many families within UCH.
