Our Ministry:
Religious Growth and Learning for Children & Youth

Behavioral Expectations

Volunteers and staff work to provide a safe, nurturing environment for everyone at church. Participants are expected to abide by the children and youth program covenant and church rules. Parents and guardians are required to read the covenant and rules with their school-aged children and sign an agreement to follow them each year. Behavioral guidelines are all related to the principles in positive terms and can be used in the home. This can help children understand what it means to live the principles everyday.

Behavior difficulties which aren’t effectively addressed in the classroom will be discussed with parents or guardians. Consequences and procedures for consistently inappropriate behavior are described within the church rules document. Copies are available in the resource center and on the web site.

In addition to the program-wide covenant and church rules, each class develops their own classroom covenant which is posted in the classroom and referred to as necessary.
