Our Ministry: Shared Ministry Coordinator, Dianne Martin
Since February, 2003 Dianne has been working ¼ time as the Shared Ministry Coordinator for UCH. She recruits and coordinates volunteers to meet the needs of the church and it's members, provides leadership, coaching, support and guidance to volunteer leaders/groups/individuals and acts as a liaison between chairpersons and volunteers, keeps accurate records, offers ideas for new volunteer projects for groups and individuals, promoting and helping to match members with active, meaningful volunteer opportunities for the volunteer, the church and community.
Dianne's background includes experience in staffing services management, employment with a non-profit organization that creates community programming and matches senior citizens with volunteer opportunities in the community, work with the Memorial Society, and providing personal services for senior citizens needing transportation, errands, grocery shopping, and companionship to enhance their quality of life.
Dianne feels truly blessed to be able to work in a job where she can make a difference, help others to make a difference, meet new people, have ongoing learning opportunities, lots of challenge and variety, and a flexible schedule. Her work has really enhanced her life as well as others.
